ANDE ATS Tournament Surf series of two piece, saltwater spinning rods offer hand crafted, custom quality look and high performance tapers. All of the full length, blank-through-handle construction models are crafted of light, powerful high modulus graphite with an added layer of high modulus carbon fiber for enhanced action, improved casting performance and superior sensitivity. Light, durable EVA foregrips and cork tape butt grips on all models keep the rods light while assuring comfort and toughness. Hardloy-style guides are mounted in corrosion proof stainless steel frames for line protection, wear resistance and light weight. Strong, powerful action blanks can handle both bait and lure fishing duties for long distance casting and the power to handle trophy fish in a light and tough surf rod.

A $7.00 oversize packaging charge applies to this item as it ships in a long heavy duty tube to protect your items. This fee will still apply when discount shipping coupons are used.

ANDE ATS-1200A Tournament Surf Spinning Rod
I cannot believe the quality of these rods. They should cost twice as much. I bought a pair, I will buy more.
ProsOutstanding rod for around 60 dollars, Works as well as my 150 dollar rods. Looks sharp.

ANDE ATS-700A Tournament Surf Spinning Rod
I bought these to match the 12' surf rods I was purchasing, well, just because they looked nice with the 12 footers and they were remarkably low cost. These rods are wonderful. They replaced my catfish rods of choice. They look sharp and are built very well. I'll be buying more of them for sure.
ProsLight, strong, and really nice looking.

NIce Surf Rod for the price
This rod is prefect for the price. It cast far enough to get over the breakers and is a strong durable rod.

great rod for the money
I purchased the 12' spinning rod for surf fishing. This rod is extremely light and powerful! I was not expecting a rod with that good of quality for a low price, but ande surprised me with great quality. Not only does it cast a mile, but it also looks great! I was very pleased with the first rod and purchased another.
Prosinexpensive, light, strong, looks great

Looking to mate this rod with Penn Slammer 760L, holding 340 yds of 20# mono for jetty fishing and attempting to catch large snook, redfish and juventile tarpon in the Florida Atlantic inlets/passes/surf. This rod is rated for 15-30 lb test. Would this or a ATS-900A be a good pairing and value at this price point? What other brands/models should I look at and what am I giving up compared to a $120 priced rod? Thanks, AJF Also could I easily get away with using 30# braid with this setup?
Either one of the Ande rods will work for you. The difference between these and more expensive rods is in the strength, sensitivity and components of the rods. Take a look at St. Croix Tidemaster and Mojo series rods. 30# braid is not a problem with any of these rods.
