Great for windy conditions
April 10, 2017
I used this lure surf fishing in Mexico. It's weight and shape allows long casts, even in windy conditions. It can be worked as top water with a fast retrieve, or lower in the water by slowing retrieve.
ProsCan cast this lure very far in windy conditions.

Sandeel Run Necessity
December 29, 2016
when the fish are on sandeels, they're either at my feet or just out of reach. when they start moving away from the beach, the extra distance along with the ability to continue matching the super slim sandeel profile sets this lure apart from the rest of my sandeel imitations
Prosrock hard finish that keeps its shine

great tin for bunker piles...
November 14, 2015
these metals are a little fatter in profile then most tins. they are heavy, cast great... any non-skinny bait, these metals will replicate well. twitch and watch them get crushed by blues...
ProsHeavy for the size, casts great. nice hooks and tail dressing.

Excellent tin

Catches Spanish Mac, Bluefish, Bonito, Jacks, and even a flounder. Fast or slow retrieve speeds work, just depends on where in the water column you want it to work. Trim down the bucktail and your can gain even more distance.
ProsWorks with all retrieve speeds Casts extremely far

Always in my bag. Great for a fast retrieve but also surprisingly effective slowly bounced or dragged on the bottom. Launches like a missile.

T-Hex 3oz
October 26, 2014
A favorite when I need to get it out there and the wind is whipping in my face. With a capable rod, it flies. Yes, catches fish too.
ProsCuts through wind. Nothing like watching this baby launch off your rod. It's brass. Fish catcher.
ConsNot inexpensive.

AOK makes a great casting tin that mimics many bait fish in the NE. They can be worked fast in the upper water column or slow in the white water.

Hello. How does this manufacturer recommend these lures be worked in a surf fishing, casting application? Thank you for your time!
These can be worked along the bottom to imitate Sand eels. They ca be retrieved at mid water column to imitate bait fish. They can also be quickly retrieved across the surface like a bait fish trying to escape.
