Love this reel

I have owned Fin Nor reels for several decades. My two #8 reels still work and i still use my #12 for big blues and bass off the boat, but after 25 years, they're a little rough and the anti reverses are shot. i was hesitant to buy a new Fin Nor based on all the transistions the comnpany has gone through over the years and the fact that this reel was almost $70 less than i paid for the #8's 25 years ago had me worried it was cheap construction. after recieving and using the reel, i was thrilled. I put it through a blind test with a very snobbish freind of mine. first i handed him a rod with a van stahl reel, then i took the rod and switched the reel to this one. He was only allowed to reel after i set the bail, he could not tell the difference between the two reels, in fact, he picked the Fin Nor as the Van Stahl because he said it had a 'smoother' reeling action. It the perfect reel for the perfect price for anything from bluefish, striped bass, fluke, flounder, sea bass, etc. etc.
Pros:Economical, sealed, smooth reeling, instant anit reverse, light weight.
