A very nice heavy spinning reel for the price
April 4, 2015
I purchased this reel and liked the quality to value so much I purchased the FNTS7050 Tidal Spinning Rod to have a heavy spinning setup on board for those who are more acclimated to spin systems. I was very impressed with the quality of the reel for the price. It is fairly smooth and sturdy (especially for the price). I have not yet had the opportunity to test it on the water however matched with the rod, this is a nice heavy spin combo at a very affordable price.

The Best for the Price
December 24, 2014
I have to say that in pictures looks ligthest, but it feels like a T-72 tank on your hands, other than that it doesn't look half bad either, @ over 30oz is most likely why the reel isn't more popular on his class. here in Puerto Rico made it pride himself not spending lots of $ money on equipment that service costumers well and loves Fin-Nor brand for that reason. I'ved  used this with my 7' Quantum Boca jigging rod it felt heavier than I was expecting, will purchase a lt60 that is lighest than lt100. This product was purchased from Tackledirect for $129.95. I have a great service from this company. Great Folks!
ProsGood Price, Drag and Strong, great line capacity.
ConsHard to find, but noisy.

Love this reel! Bought it for surf casting for bull red drum and medium sized sharks. I like the design of the reel as well, simple and to the point. It is not as smooth as something like a Daiwa or Shimano, but it's a beast. If you are fishing for beasts, this reel will do it. Is capable of more drag than most people are capable of holding on to. I bought this reel based on a review by Alan Hawk which you can read here: Alan breaks down the reel wonderfully, and is honest. This is no Saltiga or Stella, but it can hold its own and is a great offshore reel for someone who can't afford a 5 star reel. I have this paired with a 12ft Penn Battalion surf rod, but it would be equally at home on a jigging rod.
ProsStrong Good Drag Metal Construction Durable Manual Bail
ConsSemi-smooth Not very quiet Not sealed OK line lay

Best saltwater reel for the money hands down!
August 20, 2014
After reading Alan Hawk's review for this reel, I had to get one. Then I realized they stay on an almost constant backorder. There is a reason for that! Be patient and get one! Mine is from the second production run. I was worried as to whether or not fin nor would hold the same quality controls as they did in Mr. Hawk's review since they are working overtime to try to keep up with demand. To my suprise, it was actually better! The reel is every bit as good as the one reviewed, with application specific grease meticulously applied throughout the reel, but they now include a set of shims to adjust the line lay on the spool (which is a big deal when you are trying to keep 300-500 yards of braided line from knotting up). I have landed 2 50lbs cobias, and brought a 7' hammerhead boatside with it so far and it hasn't even broken a sweat yet. I've got it paired with a tsunami trophy jig rod (50-100lbs), and spooled with 80lbs braid, so my entire rig ready to fish set me back $250! That's pocket change for a setup this powerful.
ProsPrice! The smoothest and strongest drag I have ever fished on a spinner, and rivals a LOT of conventionals. Line capacity very durable manual bail is great for slinging heavy bait
ConsHard to get your hands on right now

Hi Angler's and experts, what is the best rod for this reel for jigging, note that i asked before and the answer was shimano trevala butterfly spinning jigging. but its not available , so what is the next best rod ?
The Daiwa Saltist Boat Jigging Spinning Rods 6'6'' MH or 7' M would pair well with the Fin-Nor LT100 Lethal Spinning Reel.

I just received this reel and when I initiate the crank the bail does not snap closed. It only closes when I manually do it. Is this normal?
That is normal for these reels, they have manual bails.

My mistake, 80lb suffix. I have a rod and the reel from you a few months ago and just now spooling it. I did not know if 300yd of Suffix would fill the real or not. Tim
Tim, you would need a little bit of backing on that to reach the full capacity of the spool. Put 10 yards of 20 lbs mono then the 300 yards of 80 lbs braid and you will be perfect.

How much Suffix 832 would this hold? and/or how much backing would you need for a 300yd spool to fill the real
Hello Tim. It would depend on what pound test Suffix you wanted to use. An example of this reels capacity would be it takes 310 yards of 100 pound test braided line. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions!

Hello! I would like to know if this reel would fit on an Wright and McGill Blair Wiggins S-curve inshore rod Any suggestions on how to find this out by myself or how the combo would perform I would appreciate it.Thanks
It may physically fit the rod seat however, the Lethal 100 is an offshore reel designed for Tuna and the like. It will be too large for the rod you mentioned. We recommend looking at the LT40. It will match up nicely with your rod.

Hi, They don't seem to mention the weight of the reel? or, for that matter, "any" in the 'Lethal' range...? Obviously not a "lite" question... But important if you're using it to toss lures... as the stopping power in the drag is "great!" Thankyou! for the help. Kind Regards, Steve G
