Great rod, and it travels, too!

I got this rod for travel between coast- stripers/blues in RI, and bonito/seabass in CA. It's a nice rod paired with a Daiwa Lexa 300 baitcast reel. I've used it on lures from 3/4- 2oz so far. Does well on the light stuff but shines with a bit more weight. It's a great rod to bring when you're not sure what you're going to run into. Buy it.
ProsGood grips, nice ferrule engagement. Fits (in the sock, without the tube) diagonally in my suitcase, so I'm less likely to leave it behind at an airport gate (don't ask...).
ConsIt would be nice to have alignment dots on the sections, but I'll put them on myself. That's what nail polish is for...

I needed a more stout pole (7ft) for Porgy fishing in the Northeast, that could be carried on Jet Blue (max 80 inches @ $100). I figured that I could get away with a heavy freshwater trout pole. The rod is beautiful. It comes in four(4) pieces with travel tube. I caught this on sale, I won't say how much, The only reason that I won't give this 5 stars is that if you put this together to tightly it's the dickens to break it down. I'm going to try liquid graphite to see if that helps. Other than that it's a great rod.
Proslight, compact
Conshard to break down
