In recent years there has been a craze among fisherman to use Red line. But Why? The logic behind this trend is based largely on the color spectrum in water. Since shades of red are the first color to fade, it is thought that by using red colored line, the angler's line "disappear" underwater. Truth be told, Red does not disappear but in fact turn to a shade of Gray. This gray tone will help to blend the line in to the background and become much less visible to most fish that swim. The color red will completely fade out at a depth of 14 feet. Therefore, when targeting fish in depths of 20 feet or greater, Red Line is ideal. Whether you are deep cranking for bass; trolling for lake trout, walleye or salmon; to bottom fishing in deep rivers...Red PowerPro should be on your reel.

Very sensitive strong line
Great line in bushy or timber areas in rivers! Held Salmon headed into "Woody" territory where mono had no chance.

All my reels are spooled with the red power pro line. Best braid on the market. Very strong and casts extremely far. A+ in my book.

Power Pro is super thin and very strong.
I love the fact that it is much thinner than normal line. This line is great in that it does not take a set from being on the reel. It allows for longer casts and is easy to load on the reel. I have never had a problem attaching spinners or other lures. I do carry a small cigarett lighter to melt the end to prevent any slipping of the knot but so far no problem. Give this a line a try and I am sure you will like it.
Prosit is much thinner than normal line This line is smooth enough to glide over itself for extended casts

I use this 40lb line on one of my surf rods and two of my pier rods and I use the 50lb braid on one of my surf rods and one of my boat rods and it has served me well. This line maintains it's color longer than some of the other braids that I have used. The color makes it extremely easy to see. The line is thin, casts far, has zero memory, and it is very strong.
Proshighly visible strong no memory casts far

Strong and great castability
This spool filled a Shimano Calcutta 700B, an Avet SXJ and I still have a fair amount left for........?? I've used it for live bait fishing, (Lake Sturgeon, Blue Catfish) casting big Bucktails to Musky and Northern, and I'm very happy with it. Casts well and holds up to abuse.
ProsStrong and easy to fish with.
ConsSeems to bleed a little color, at least when new.

Nice smooth cast but the flat shape makes it twist a lot during retrieve with a spinning reel

power pro rocks
I got the 50lb test for my surf rig. it does an amazing job casting. I get the extra distance I need without having to get soaked wading out. I also got a 20lb test for my inshore set up. it works that good.
Proscast great. very durable.
Consjust make sure your knots are good then there are no cons.

I put power pro on all my Cabo and Boca reels. Awesome strength and sensitivity. I still have the same power pro line on one of my reel for the last 2 years and still going strong. Please note that I highly recommend putting some mono as backing on the reel.
