Spro SBTJW-1/4 Prime Bucktail Jig 1/4oz White

Spro SBTJW-1/4 Prime Bucktail Jig 1/4oz White

by Spro
Price: $3.39
TD Code
1/4 oz.Gamakatsu Jig 90 RB Black 2/0White$3.39 USD
The Prime Bucktail Jig is not like any other jig on the market. The unique shape of the head and placement of the eyelet help bring this lure to life. With bulging eyes, holographic finish, and blazing color, it puts fish at your mercy.

The uniqueness of this bait is that it doesn't fall or hang straight down like other bucktails. It glides through the water, almost swimming along. When jigged, its body stays almost parallel to the bottom maintaining a very natural appearance.

Like all SPRO products, Prime Bucktail Jigs are made with durable, super sharp Gamakatsu hooks. Once you fish it, you'll know why SPRO is the shape of things to come.
It's hard to fish the Prime Bucktail wrong. It can be jigged off the bottom for weakfish, fluke, or other saltwater fish. Cast it at schooling fish working it quickly back to the boat for cobia, stripers, snook, or dolphin. Swim it along in freshwater for big bass and walleyes, or troll it for reservoir stripers. It's hard to find somewhere that the Prime Bucktail won't work.

Fluke catching machine
November 21, 2016
Caught quite a few fluke this summer with the 3 oz, it is very durable, I have had it bounce off countless rocks and strikes from fish. The paint job is still like new and the bucktail has not thinned out.

If I had to count on one lure . . .
July 21, 2016
I've caught a LOAD of fish on the white 1/4 Spro jig. This is the 3/8 oz. version that offers the same effectiveness, but also longer casts and deeper jigging. I've used this lure to catch just about everything that swims in central and south Fla. saltwater. If I had to rely on one lure, this would clearly be the one.
ProsCatches ALL species of Fla gamefish. Can be worked in any environment. Needle-sharp hooks don't miss many hook-ups.
ConsGets beaten up pretty quickly (after you've caught a lot of fish on it)

Secret weapon
July 21, 2016
For a simple-looking lure, these things catch a LOT of fish. Most of my fishing buddies have seen what my "The fish can't say no to the white Spro" means. I've fished these all over central and south Florida, and it beats virtually any other lure (and live bait) in side-by-side fishing. Being able to vary the retrieve makes it even more effective.
ProsEffective in virtually any environment - flats, grassbeds, beach, reefs. Needle-sharp hooks.
ConsGets shredded pretty easily by toothy fish (is that a bad thing?)

I've used these bucktails in different weights and colors for a variety of species in both freshwater and saltwater, but primarily for fluke and seabass. They catch fish and lots of them. Big ones too. They have great hooks, are very durable and hold up well to the rigors of a fishing season. For me, they are the best bucktail on the market. Period.
ProsEverything about them.

The perfect bucktail.
June 20, 2016
I absolutely love Spro bucktails. They have a great mold that looks more realistic than your typical bucktail. The hooks are chemically hardened and are razor sharp right out of the package. Use these to jig for fluke paired with your favorite bait.
