St Croix travel rod
If you travel the St Croix inshore travel spinning rod is a must. Resent Florida inshore trip proved to be an advantage. Took 3 rods and only 1 was a travel rod. May have to change my approach when traveling.

St. Croix TIS70MHF 3 Tidemaster Inshore Spinning Travel Rod
Took to Abaco, Bahamas and stayed @ Casaurina Point to try Bone Fishing, rod performed fabulously. Couldn't tell that it was 3 pieces, caught nice sized (4 - 6 lbs) Bone fish on the flats @ low tide and went up into the canal and caught 8lbs Snapper under the Mangroves and other Tropical fish (looked to cool to eat). Case a bit large to fit in luggage but who cares, paired it with a Shimmano 4000 Sedona / it was the real-deal Abaco Bone fishing.
ProsSolid feel when assembled and you have a fishing rod on Travel
ConsCan't fit into carry-on luggage and becomes your personal carry-on item (and wouldn't fit in snorkel & fins bag).

I used this rod in Costa Rica on the western side for Rooster fish and landed several in the Ten to fifteen lb range with no problem.
ProsA tough but also light rod , plenty of backbone.
ConsYou need a large piece of luggage to pack this rod .
