Bad specs, but good blank and overall a good rod to fish with
October 19, 2013
This rod had been proven all in all a good rod, I've used it for popping and jigging, and it had done a great job in both. It could bull a 20lb barracuda like a feather.
When received, it had a cheap cloth cover that needed nothing to be torn and sewing to loose, and I had to through it away. The round aluminum gimble seems so like a cheap plastic gimble not aluminum at all, it also had a very cheap already loose EVA knob cover, not like the video where the Captain George Valentini put lots of effort to take it off, mine is already out of the box loose and I needed a rubber band to keep it in place. The reel seats are not Aluminum as advertised, it came in graphite reel seat.
Let the cosmetics behind, if you're not adamant to get exactly what you thought you paid for, and all what you care for is to go fishing, this rod performs greatly with large fish, and this is the most important part.
Pros:Light weight, strong and capable of handling big fish with ease. the 7'6 is great in both popping and jigging
Cons:Not as advertised: Reel Seat is graphite, no aluminum hoods, no aluminum two lock nuts
Not as advertised: Gimble is plastic, not aluminum
Week Gimble EVA cover, not similar to the posted video
