These 13 foot, 3-piece surf rods are built on extra-strong Daiwa SVF (Super High Volume Fiber) Nanoplus construction blanks that offer remarkable strength despite their thin wall and lightweight feel. Through the use of Nano-resin technology, SVF Nanoplus blanks are lighter and have increased sensitivity over standard SVF blanks due to their higher carbon density. The three section blank joins together with Daiwa's unique V-Joint Technology where the ferrules bend to avoid any rod blank flatness and aids in longer casting abilities. With this design, the Tournament Ballistic Surf Rods have an uninterrupted bend for an action that behaves much like a single piece rod. When it comes to components, the Tournament Ballistic Surf is equipped with high quality Fuji LC Guides, a Daiwa custom reel seat, and shrink tube handle grips for a comfortable hold in wet conditions. The rod butt features a removable cap where weights can be added and removed to create a comfortable counter balance point, allowing anglers achieve the perfect balance with their spinning reel of choice for easier and more efficient casting.
