G Loomis 2024 GLX Bass Casting Rods

With over four decades of experience handcrafting rods in the United States to the finest capabilities on the market, the G Loomis 2024 GLX Bass Casting Rods embody the pursuit of G Loomis for "continuous refinement" and serve as the tangible benchmark that other manufactures can only attempt to follow.

Refined Blank Technology

At the core of this next evolution is its refined and improved rod blank, with key structural upgrades that have been achieved through the proprietary blend of high-modulus graphite and advanced resin technologies. Boosted strength-to-weight ratios, improved balance, and the seemly unattainable step up in the sensitivity department over its previous generation make for a serious force to reckon with on the water. Each blank is rolled on stepped mandrels, along with undergoing machining processes to create a series of micro-tapers at key areas of the blank. This process, known as Multi-Taper Design, works to isolate potential failure points of the blank and reinforce them with added material for class leading durability. Engineers at G Loomis took this innovative rod technology one step further, by incorporating unique flex patterns within the blank and tuning them for technique specific actions.

Premium Componentry

All models in this GLX Bass series utilize a full lineup of lightweight and robust Fuji K guides with SiC rings, dispersing line freely with tangle free performance. Premium AAA cork grips are available in split or full configurations dependent on the model, with the right amount of grip and comfort for hard use to come. A custom lightweight CI4+ reel seat provides the rock-solid grip on your favorite reel and amplify the angler's connection to the rod blank for every bit of added sensitivity that can be offered.

Designed and handcrafted entirely in Woodland, Washington the 2024 GLX Bass Casting Rods exemplify elegance in simplicity. Leaps in technological blank innovation along with premium modern-day componentry make for a serious performance tool that is ready to dominate your favorite water body and heighten your capabilities to the max. Take the next step to elevating your bass game with the GLX bass series, forging the pathway of next generation angling.

Technique Specific Actions:

Jig & Worm (JWR):

Fast to Extra-Fast actions to increase accuracy and line control for low trajectory casting scenarios and imparting subtle movement to the bait. This matched with a sturdy butt section provides ample pulling power when clearing beasts from heavy cover, also offers enhanced utility when dragging football jigs off a ledge or slinging ribbontails at the bank.

Mag Bass (MBR):

Parabolic actions primed for maximum versatility, these rods feature light tips for generous power and improve long casting performance for a broad range of tactics and techniques. These blanks are light and lively in hand and offer supreme sensitivity and pulling power, especially when presenting baits deep in the water column.

Flip & Punch (FPR):

Improved bait control and enhanced accuracy with a rod that has a Fast action and more dynamic tip. These models have incredible sensitivity, brute strength, and minimal weight, creating more positive control.

Carolina Rig (CRR):

Created with an ultra-sensitive tip for bite detection and generous power through the the rods lower 1/3 section to secure fish on a sweeping hookset.

Bladed Jig (BJR):

A rod with backbone to deliver presentations more accurately at a distance, combined with a light, sensitive tip which telegraphs the vibration of the bait and loads the rod deeply to keep fish pinned.

Jerkbait (JBR):

A crisp blank that readily provides sharp movements and pauses of your favorite hardbait. Its tip section loads deeply to keep fish pinned and prevent your light wire hooks from escaping grip.
