With a unique approach in this lures action, the Madd Mantis Duck Surface Swimmer is a heavy-duty bait ready to take on the nearshore and offshore giants. Unlike many other plugs on the market, this bait is designed to be retrieved towards the surface after its descent and performs it due to its face. While it may look like a popper styled face, on the retrieve it provides for a wide swimming action and body roll. Its density and shape provide for great aerodynamics in the wind, while still allowing the bait to descend at a slow rate of fall and allow you to cast it all day.
The Duck is constructed of injection molded ABS plastic, giving it serious ability to withstand abuse from brutal strikes and survive for seasons to come. Sonic welding technology adheres both sides of the bait in the manufacturing process, giving it a true water seal that prevent the bait from waterlogging, which would inherently affect the action.
