PowerPro braided Spectra fiber with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT) gives you awesome handling performance on any reel. Unlike the older style braided lines, fishing with PowerPro is as easy as fishing with monofilament. An incredibly round, smooth, and sensitive line, PowerPro doesn't bury in the spool, and casts long and smooth -- even after a hard strike. PowerPro outperforms monofilament lines in any situation and leaves other superlines in the dust.

line that has been around, tested, and abused by many. The hi-vis yellow is visible in all conditions. Even fishing with on line a strike or bite is visible, which is desirable with bi-focals and children.

Great strength with no stretch. Thin diameter makes for maximum line on reels

I use power pro on almost every reel I own fresh & saltwater. This was no exception 50# hi vis yellow to fluorocarbon leader. Works great as my popper setup.

I used to fish with mono now I won't even look at a spool of ande line very sensitive and cuts water with ease
ProsLow profile line, sensitive, and I'm blind so the yellow is a plus
ConsJust watch out for tangles

Power Pro Hi-Vis line
July 15, 2016
I do a lot of fishing along the New Jersey coast, mainly for fluke and sea bass, but with a few wreck trips thrown in. I have found that using the 30lb power pro with a 25lb mono leader works the best. It holds-up to the constant dragging across broken ground and doesn't develop a memory like mono does. It allows you to use a little smaller weight when drifting and, you can feel taps and hits a lot easier.
ProsThinner diameter line means less weight needed if drifting. Holds up 3 times longer than mono line. Doesn't develop a 'memory' and doesn't stretch once it gets water-logged. Allows you feel more hits and taps. When setting the hook, there is no stretch, so your hook-up rate is vastly improved.
ConsIf you aren't careful, it can severely cut you. Boat Captains with glass boats don't really like braided line because it could damage the gel-coat. The braid can also cause extensive damage to prop-seals and/or shaft-seals if it gets caught on the prop/shaft.

What is the best color line for surf fishing the clear waters on the Gulf side of Florida?
1 Answers
Choosing a braided line color comes down to whether or not you want to be able to see the line in the water. Many anglers choose a low visibility green color to eliminate the chance of fish becoming line shy. In the vast majority of cases people find that high visibility colors do not impact the chance of catching fish when a mono or fluorocarbon leader is used

fishing yellowfin tuna 80-130 lb range is this a good color as opposed to the moss green that im using now, what if any recommendation would you give.
1 Answers
Color really shouldn't matter due to the fact you are also using a long leader. That being said, you really don't want to use anything high vis due to the excellent eyesight of the Tuna.
