Breaking the norms of a traditional rod layout, the Spathe Long Ranger Slow Pitch Jigging Rods features a "Inline Concept Rod" design. These rods do not come with guides, instead your line will flow through the core of the rod blank and exits through the rod tip. This design eliminates tip wraps, reduces stress points, decreases weight, increases the sensitivity, and allows the blank to bend more naturally. A spine marker is added to each rod for easier connection of the joints and to follow the rods more natural bend.

While many slow pitch rods are below seven feet in length, the Lone Ranger's longer rod lengths cater to long fall presentations along with adding greater maneuverability on today's long-range boats. With each rods light physical weight, just being over six ounces, these rods are a pleasure to fish all day. Its next generation rear grip was specially designed to be used and controlled in a "under arm" style, contoured to fit the palm when casting and slim profile while fighting fish. For the angler looking for a high performance rod with a unique take on the SPJ system, the Spathe Long Ranger Rods provide a more direct feel to the angler to work their jig, while providing a great option for those on party/head boats to maneuver around the boat, preventing those fish from running under it.
