Fantastic rod! The TIS76HF3 was perfect from light tackle to heavier bait fishing. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic rod! The TIS76HF3 was perfect from light tackle to heavier bait fishing. Highly recommend it. I fished this rod with a Penn Clash 5000 and Maxcuatro 50lb. It was very well waited. Nice sensitive tip but plenty of backbone. Almost forgot it was a travel rod.
Prosgreat action works great with 50lb braid well crafted

I have several St. Croix rods and like the quality for the price. I bought this rod last minute, sight unseen just before flying out of state on a vacation with a little fishing. I was extremely satisfied upon receipt of the rod and its performance on the trip was excellent. It casts well and has the backbone to handle heavier line and bigger fish. In my case hauling up black sea bass and stripers in Rhode Island.
ProsHandles and feels like a one-piece rod. Guides, wraps, cork handle, reel seat, and finish are very good quality. The case is as small as they could make it and protects the rod well. It is wise to remember how the rod was placed in the case when you take it out as it only goes in the same way.
ConsNo cons so far. Its a little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Great travel rod. Comes in a sturdy case that fits the rod well. Went fishing for pike in Canada - this rod handled flawlessly with enough backbone for a 31" pike.

Got to ask some amateur Q's but Q.A) Can this rod handle the big tarpon in FL? Also, have a Penn Spinfisher 7600 series (spin)reel and will this reel pair well for same species target species and or similar to battle with using guessing 50 lb. test ?

Honestly was eyeing the Shimano Terez but they're one piece and don't know why the builders don't offer more of multi piece rods for travel use criss crossing good 'ol USA or other<?>

Getting this rod for my wife who is very petite and just starting out. Looking at dual application inshore and light surf use. Can you suggest the ideal bailed spinning reel for a beginner? Thanks, Chris
1 Answer
I would recommend checking out the Penn Spinfisher or the Daiwa Ballistic series. These reels are both semi-sealed and are therefore a bit more forgiving for the new saltwater fisherman.

Does this product come with a bag to put the rod in
1 Answer
The rod comes with the travel case that has specific spots for the different rod sections. Much better than a bag.
