Its blank has all the backbone needed in the butt section for shear strength yet has a softer tip to keep fish pinned when they are charging the boat, pin-wheeling, or tail wrapped. Fitted to the length of the rod are Winthrop X-Caliber Wide Rollers, each with a one-piece frame design that bend with the rod blank as its loaded to maintain their inherit strength throughout the fight. The extra wide stainless-steel rollers provide great clearance for heavy offshore rated terminal tackle and knots, keeping you seamlessly running the handle throughout the entire fight. The butt section of the rod is outfitted with a Winthrop T-10X Adjusta-Butt, with 10 adjustment settings to position the rod to your liking.
