The plier handles themselves are constructed of a 17-4 stainless steel and fitted with a DLC coating. Its (3) included Round Jaw inserts and (6) included Cone Jaw Insets easily screw into the lower portion of the jaws, all of which can be tightened down with the included 6mm Gedore Wrench and interchanged to accommodate different split ring sizes. Each insert is heat treated to 60 Rockwell Hardness, providing great longevity. All of the kit can be housed in its waterproof hardcase with EVA insert, a high quality option to store everything in.
