Rampage Splash Top is an Understatement

I have been wanting to buy a 'rough weather surf top' for years. I been wearing a gortex top. I end up short of the day being all wet and the first one back at the truck trying to get dry and warm. We don't have any tackle houses around here that stock items like this. I wanted to try one on, see how it was made etc. So I went on line to look for reviews. Honestly, I bought this top with input from reviews and comments on the web. Here's my story: When I opened the package from TD..my first comment was OMG!!!! This top is almost a 'Dry Suit!' They have instructions/suggestions on how to get this thing on!! I suggest you read them! ...Once you get this pullover top on... you're ready for any kind of weather. For some, this top maybe 'overkill' in apparel for surf fishing in bad weather. But for me, I'm always getting 'dumped'...I love it. (the top, that is!) It is heavy enough to keep you warm in colder weather and light enough to allow you freedom to move and cast about. In April/May the Jersey Coastal waters are cold! I've been 'dumped' three times since I got this top and my face and upper neck were all that got wet. It has a certain amount of buoyancy to it too. Another plus when you get 'dumped' are the 'dry arm sleeves' due to the tight rubber wrist cuffs. Also, I can be in water up to my thighs, bend over to roll rocks, pick bait or dropped stuff and not get my arms wet. It is one scary 'serious' top!!! The sleeve pocket and front pouch is very hand too! I'm telling you, wearing this, you'll be able to take more than a splash!
Pros:Quality well made item. Dry arms and trunk in nasty rainy weather.
Cons:A bit of a struggle to get on.
