Manns has long been known for their high performance trolling lures, such as their deep diving Stretch baits. Stretch baits are built rugged and they track true straight right out of the box.

Manns Stretch 25+ lures are now available in textured versions. The Textured Stretch baits look even more natural than ever before thanks to raised gillplates, textured bodies that reflect light, and 3D eyes. Manns Textured Stretch Baits will catch more fish. PERIOD.
  • Tried and proven rock-solid construction.
  • True tracking right out of the box.
  • Realistic high-tech colors and patterns that fish can`t resist.
  • Super-strong 4X hooks.

Not a bad lure
October 22, 2016
good lure but it tends to not run straight after 5 catches or so. I use them for grouper and amberjack trolling
Consdoes not run straight after several uses/catches

Heavy lure
April 11, 2016
Heavy bait. When exceeding the velocity (about 6 knots) pops up on the surface, so the speed should be controlled constantly. Unlike baits with a metal spout that runs on almost all speed. But I like it. I'm sure it's big enough to catch a big fish.

Awesome divers, big and bold
December 14, 2015
Best rig for stripers, big and bold colors, super sharp hooks. If you're dragging these be sure your gear can handle it, these dive deep and will put a hefty drag on your reel. Medium Heavy to Heavy rod, TLD 25/30 type reels...Braid gets deeper than mono at same speed.
ProsGreat divers, super color selection, sharp hooks
ConsNeed proper sized rod and reel setup to effectively troll with them. Talk to TackleDirect for the best recommendations.

Only used it once so far, just to try it out, Bang, fish on!
June 10, 2015
Well, like the headline says, I only used it once. I made on trip out and was not planning on trolling, but while I was sitting and thinking about where to start fishing, I through on on the snap & let out a bit of line, not too much to get it to the bottom, just a little bit and sure enough a nice size blue hit it w/in 30 seconds.

Killer Lures!
May 4, 2015
I went trolling for Striped Bass in Raritan Bay yesterday and trolled these lures at 3 mph in abour 28 feet of water. I couldn't find the Striped Bass, but they killed 10 lb Blues! And even those "Yellow Eyed Devils" have teeth like piranha , these Mann Stretch baits held up with just a few scratches! Great Baits!
ProsWorks great and very well made! Holds up to even toothy critters! Catches fish!
ConsYou can't really troll these faster than 3 mph. I found that Bomber Saltwater CD lures can be trolled a little faster than Mann's and still hold their action

Tried and trued trolling lure for bass and bluefish off NJ waters.
March 16, 2015
Have used stretch 25's and 30's for bass and bluefish for years. Spring or fall these produce. Color match to what's around and you're bound to hook up trolling if you come across fish.
ProsProductive, cheap and can be fished out of the box
ConsNot through wired, will break under pressure. Hooks and split rings aren't the best. Wouldn't trust on very large fish

Pickwick tail water Striper favorite!
July 23, 2013
I have used this lure for many years trolling for striped bass in the discharge water below the turbines at Pickwick Lake on the Tennessee River for many years. The "stretch" outperforms every lure I have tried, especially when the fish are holding deep, both during the day and at night!

Striper magnet!
May 21, 2013
The stretch 25's are perfect for trolling up stripers in Raritan Bay. The red head and chartruese are killer colors.
ProsSharp hooks, deep diving and take a beating while still performing great.
ConsNeed to adjust to get them to swim straight. Trolling more than 2 before you adjust the swim will get you all tangled and fouled up.

Do any of the mackerel lures come with red eyes. I found some in Florida last fall. If so where can I get them.
Some of the older stretch lures did have different eyes on them. It is hit or miss on the red.
