Durable rod case that can handle being tossed around by a flight crew. Also telescopes to fit a good range of rods.
perfect for travel

this item meets airline regulations for a carry on baggage...no extra fees...it extends in 6 inch increments....only problem is it is only has a 3 inch diameter (to meet airline regs) which barely fits the last eye on my spinning rod...overall very protective though

Can I fit a 13 foot surf rod in this the rod is a 50/50 split
The rod would be able to fit in the plano case. This rod case is discontinued. Thank you for considering TackleDirect for your fishing needs.

IS THIS ONE AIRLINE APPROVED... IS IT HARD SO IT WON'T BEND WITH THOSE CARELESS ATTENDANTS?
Yes, you can use this to travel by plane and it is a hard case opposed to a soft case. It can not bend.

Will this rod tube hold a two piece, ten foot surf spinning rod? I am having trouble finding one's for my two custom made rods..
The issue is not the length as this tube can hold rods 58in to 106in the issue will be the diameter of the rod at the first large guide fitting inside this tube. If it is a conventional surf rod you should have no problem, if it is a spinner you will most likely run into a problem. Check out the airliner and jumbo airliner Plano rod cases as they are a larger diameter and work better for surf rods.
