This reel quickly became my favorite. This is the easiest casting bait caster I have ever owned. It is light, good looking, consistent drag. Easily handles big redfish, Black drum and trout. The only problem I have had with it is some corrosion on the spool shaft which froze the reel solid. So make sure to put a drop of oil on this regularly. It is a simple matter to flip open the side plate and pull out the spool. That bit of corrosion is the only reason this reel is getting a 4 instead of 5 stars. I worry this reel will not stand up to the rigors of saltwater unlike my Penn Slammer spinning reels that appear to be bullet proof, and my Diawa Coastal's which have never failed. This thing is still my favorite for slinging plastic jerk baits across the flats, but don't leave home without a backup and treat it with TLC.
Pros:Light, small, easy casting, good drag, external spool tension adjustment.
Cons:the smallest bit of saltwater corrosion on internal parts can freeze reel solid.
