Pretty good compared to competing bags

Less than half the price of the sealline urban with pretty much the same features. Comfortable to wear but a bit cumbersome and it really kind of needs to be mostly filled up or it doesn't hold its shape too well. I have just started using this bag and I'm pretty pleased with it but keeping from losing stuff in the bottomless pit. I would love to have a zippered pocket on the outside so you could quickly get small items without having to go to the main compartment. The mesh pockets are OK for this but obviously there is no weather protection for items in these. I use this for work in the film business and sometimes wind up in a lift with little weather protection so I needed to upgrade from my standard back pack, this my first day with it on set and it is already paying for itself by keeping my extra layers dry.
Pros:
Seems like it would be comfortable for some decent hiking time with the padding and waist belt and sternum strap.
Cons:
The same straps that make it comfortable add a lot of bulk when you're not carrying it on your back. Would be pretty risky to check on a plane.
I don't know what you could do about this besides pack your things in stuff sacks... The inside is a big deep hole, so to get what's at the bottom can mean having to empty the rest of the bag to get to it. That's not ideal when it's wet out.
