Excellent Wet Bag Back Pack** Not Just For Fishing!!
Great fit. Just the right size. Will hold gear, deck boots, bibs, water bottles. Nicely padded. Good solid stitching. I think it's the best waterproof, wet bag backpack in its price range by far. Good looking bag. My buddy who is a bike delivery guy in Manhattan saw it while we were fishing and had to have one to serve dual purpose for deliveries. The Shoulder and waist straps are easily adjustable for the perfect fit.
ProsQuality construction Nicely Padded Adjustable shoulder and waist straps Plenty of Space for a day or weekend trip

I love this for bag. Big enough to carry the basic and the clothes never get soaked. Very durable too.

Great concept - poor quality
This bag is a great concept and I have loved the form-fit and functionality. However, after 16 months, the bag has given up; one backpack strap has torn from its attachment at the waist, one roll-up clip broke, and the front mesh panel has started dislodging from the main compartment. I honestly expected better durability from a Grunden's bag and now wonder about their replacement policy. I have used it to carry an ultrabook, notepad and lunch to work on the bike and for light hiking and traveling with a shift of clothes, so no heavy weight that would justify the failures. Moreover, I take good care of my stuff.

Took it on drift fly fishing trip
This is a great dry bag. I took it on a drift fly trip. It was raining all day, and the bag kept everything bone dry. The backpack stars and top handle make it easy to carry.

Shoulder strap ripped out after 2 weeks
I bought this bag to use while traveling in Peru as I'm a fan of the Grundens brand and this was the best deal available for waterproof bags. While it is a tough bag and keeps my stuff dry, the right shoulder strap ripped out of the bottom of the bag after only 2 weeks of use. I was trekking in the Andes when this happened and luckily was able to tie it off to the waist belt. The bag could use a better anchoring system for the straps as the PVC material ripped too easily for how much I used it.

ProsWaterproof and tough
ConsThe right shoulder strap ripped out after two weeks of use.

Quality Material, Questionable Quality Control.
This is a top open bag with one primary interior area. To fill it you just dump everything into it and seal it up. This limits any interior organizational capabilities but I don't think that was the primary intent of this bag. This is a fill then spill bag. The material is quality but the stitching leaves a lot to be desired. The bag looks like it is falling apart - too soon to tell if it actually will. I bought it just to have as an carry option for inclement weather travel or as a hands free boat bag. Really do not like the stitching, hanging threads all over the bag.
ProsWaterproof. Large Capacity. Comfortable.
ConsLooks cheaply made. Unsure if it will hold up.

Great Dry Bag
Great item and Price. Bag is perfect for what I use it for in an open boat. Extra cloths, rain gear, paper work and lunch.
ProsAll good works great for what I use it for. I can climb down or up a Jacobs ladder and have the use of both hands and balance myself across a gang way in good or bad weather.

nice durable bag
I bought this bag primarily for my skins and they fit just fine but there is not much room for anything else. To be fair I'm a big guy so my skins are big! Theres plenty of room if you use it for anything other than skins. I didnt buy the bigger duffel because I thought it would be too big but now I think I should have tried it.
ProsDurable waterproof and plenty of room.
ConsCould be a touch bigger but the bag is just fine.

Great backpack for surf fishing or kayak
I do alot of surf and kayak fishing, and having a reliable rugged backpack that keeps everything dry is essential. I have used alot of inferior products, but this one has met my expectations in all ways.

A great bag to hold all your things for a fishing trip, clothing, tackle box, and other gear! There is a lot of space in this bag, more than what may be needed! But all in all, it is a great item to have! All of my things stayed nice and dry. Went on an overnight trip, and I had my rods, my cooler, and the Gage 30. When I was done on my fishing trip, I just put my items back into my bag, and jumped off the boat. I recommend it to any angler!

Pretty good compared to competing bags
Less than half the price of the sealline urban with pretty much the same features. Comfortable to wear but a bit cumbersome and it really kind of needs to be mostly filled up or it doesn't hold its shape too well. I have just started using this bag and I'm pretty pleased with it but keeping from losing stuff in the bottomless pit. I would love to have a zippered pocket on the outside so you could quickly get small items without having to go to the main compartment. The mesh pockets are OK for this but obviously there is no weather protection for items in these. I use this for work in the film business and sometimes wind up in a lift with little weather protection so I needed to upgrade from my standard back pack, this my first day with it on set and it is already paying for itself by keeping my extra layers dry.
ProsSeems like it would be comfortable for some decent hiking time with the padding and waist belt and sternum strap.
ConsThe same straps that make it comfortable add a lot of bulk when you're not carrying it on your back. Would be pretty risky to check on a plane. I don't know what you could do about this besides pack your things in stuff sacks... The inside is a big deep hole, so to get what's at the bottom can mean having to empty the rest of the bag to get to it. That's not ideal when it's wet out.

best boating bag !!!!!
July 24, 2012
The bag is a little bigger than I expected but once I started packing it, I realized that I needed all that space. It's approximately 2 ft tall and 10 to 12 inches at the base. It's well crafted and interior is completely waterproof. It's well worth the price.
ProsIt's large enough to hold all my saltwater tackle, shoes, rain gear and more.. It's waterproof!

Drilling into the previously answered question... Let's assume the bag was totally filled up on the inside and in the rolled up position: 1) What is the height of the bag in the filled up / rolled up position? 2) What is the width of the bag in the filled up / rolled up position? 3) What is the depth of the bag in the filled up / rolled up position? Thank you in advance!
We stuffed it full of clothes and came up with 24" Tall 18" Wide 18" Deep.
