13 Fishing Concept TX Reels were constructed to meet the extreme demands of Gulf Coast anglers. The Gulf Coast's extreme salinity demands durability, and the 13 Fishing Concept TX takes it to a new level with Ocean Armor 2 saltwater protection and 100% resistant sealed bearings.

13 Fishing Concept TX Reels provide effortless cast-ability in an extremely lightweight reel. A standard deep spool allows anglers to withstand aggressive runs, or stop them dead in their tracks by tightening down on the bulldog drag system.

13 Fishing Concept TX Reel Features:

  • High Spin Spool Shaft
  • Black Seal Corrosion Resistant High Spin Bearings
  • KP Tech Gear Shaft
  • Keepr-Integrated Hook Holder

Smooth, Perfect Reel for Inshore
If you are looking for a premium inshore reel, the Concept TX is top of the line. I have the Lews Inshore and it works great, but I wanted something a little lighter for wading. You can't go wrong, spend the money. You will not be disappointed. Spooled with 832 and throw mostly soft plastics and top waters.

Concept TX
Received reel about a month ago. First impression was nice! Built well and was compact and lightweight. The line capacity is large for a reel so small. The reel cast as advertised. Long cast with little effort. Had a few backlashes during the first few cast. Opened sideplate and activated 2 brakes. Made fine tuning adjustments with variable brake system, curing backlashes. Drag is smooth and has muscle, especially for its size. I fish 3-4 days a week, for much of year, so this reel will be put to the test. I switched to this reel due to durability issues with another brand. Time will tell if this reel holds up, as advertised, in saltwater conditions.
ProsCompact and lightweight Large line capacity Smooth heavy drag Cast very well
