St. Croix craftsmanship
May 10, 2020
St. Croix rods is about serious craftsmanship. All the way from from the Triumph to the Legend family every St. Croix rod is made with high end quality components. I own several premier rods but my favorite is the 6'6" MLF 2pieces. Versatile, cast a mile, easy to transport.
ProsEasy to transport / 2piece; great selection for various applications; good price

These rods will handle all your freshwater needs. Rinse them if you intend to use in salt. Should be able to handle a salty environment though.
ProsTough, looks

So good i had to buy TWO

SImply put this rod to be is outstanding! I am a saltwater angler going primarily for scup, seabass blackfish, and fluke. So as you can see I need a rod that I can feel the action and the St. Croix does not let you down. If i fish farts near it i feel it. I was sp highly impressed that I had to buy a 2nd one for surf fishing. St. Croix makes a fine rod and getting them from Tackle Direct is a good deal. Excellent product + Excellent service= A VERY satisfied returning customer.
ProsOutstanding action! Well made. Feels great, Light and strong.
ConsExpensive but you get what you pay for.

I paired the Premier 6’6†medium fast 2 piece rod with a Shimano Symmetre 2000. The combo is sweet! I caught a 3 pounds, 4 ounces largemouth bass the first time I used it and I have to say the rod performed flawlessly! I’ll be getting the casting version soon! Highly recommended!
ProsResponsiveness Lots of backbone Ease of transport
