Step on to the boat for the first day of your dream fishing trip and you get the first look at the lodge gear. Inspecting the faded finish, pitted guides and disintegrating handles, don't say we didn't try to help. Okuma Nomad Travel rods were constructed for anglers who want their total experience to equal the quality of their destination, and that includes fishing great rods. Constructed in three pieces and utilizing European spigot ferrules, Nomad Travel rods deliver one-piece rod performance. Each model includes two tip sections, one lighter and one heavier, to increase versatility while keeping luggage to a minimum. Premium components were chosen for rock-solid durability. Secured in a custom padded and waterproof case, Nomad Travel rods travel easily in overhead luggage bins, alleviating the difficulty and expense of long rod tubes.

Features
  • 3-section break down for easy travel
  • 2 tips with different actions with each rod
  • European spigot ferrule connections for true one piece rod feel
  • ALPS 316 SS guide frames with zirconium guide inserts

Excellent travel rod
I took it to the Keys for Mahi-Mahi fishing. It was fantastic! I hooked into a couple of Tuna as well. I was glad I had a strong rod. Excellent value!!

Seriously heavy duty travel rod
Bought this for deep dropping from a head oat, while traveling with the family. It should handle 16 ounces of lead and meat while dragging for tilefish without a problem. It's not light, but the quality is really good. Since I can't take a one piece in the van with the kids, this is the best option.

Does this Rod can carry 40-60 Lbs Line ( Braid to be specific ) and what can you recommend the perfect match reel for this one ? Thanks a lot.
Hello Har Per. Yes, this rod can handle 40-60 pound braid. The reel would depend on what exactly you are using to setup for. Ideally this rod would be best with a 6000-8000 series reel.
