East Coast LargeMouth

Despite its intention I use this rod for Largemouth bass over here in NJ. Paired with a Diawa Tatula it fishes top water like a dream, and is sensitive enough for senkos and real light baits. Caught my season opener which is also one of my largest on this rod. Any other rod would never be sensitive enough to fish a senko unless I went to a spinning setup. I would highly recommend it.
ProsSensitive Stiff action Love the color Versitle

Nice build. Feels like a boutique custom rod that sell for $350 plus. Very light and it’s easy to tell that it’s a sensitive rod when you get in your hands. Extremely comfortable reel seat that is sure to accommodate any grip
ProsLight, sensitive
ConsI wish the reel seat was Fuji

The Perfect Rod Series for Inshore Fishing
June 16, 2019
The Shimano GLF series casting rods are an incredible value for the money. They come in the perfect lengths (6'-6', 6'-9", and 7'-0") and actions for pursuing inshore species such as spotted seatrout and redfish. I have purchased all four models and recently fished with the rods in the waters off of Steinhatchee, FL. The rods performed perfectly and were definitely fished more heavily than the other rods that I took on the trip. They have small diameter blanks made of 30 ton graphite, are lightweight, well-balanced, strong, and sensitive. I can give these rods my highest recommendation and endorsement for inshore fishing.

Incredible Inshore Rod for the Money
June 2, 2019
My first impressions of this rod wasn't the greatest as it's a super whippy/sensitive rod, it didn't seem to have a whole lot of backbone to fight the occasional hook up to a big red or bluefish inshore. I was totally wrong with that observation.

Very sensitive rod, and has a surprising amount of backbone in a fight. I was able to turn a sting ray with at least a 4 foot wingspan without much trouble at all, didn't once feel like it was struggling at all, really solid blank on this rod.

Seriously great rod for the price with a great feel in hand and super light. Worth every penny!

I love this rod

Lightweight, fast action, cast very good. Exactly what i wanted for being on the kayak. I have much more expensive rods, but each serves a particular role. This i wanted as a lighteweight kayak useable rod and it serves that role great. It is paired with a shimano reel and feels great in the hands.
Proslight good action comfortable

I purchased the 6' 9" Medium a few weeks ago and instantly fell in love. I love the color of this rod and the way it looks. The medium is the perfect for the light baits I throw. I have had no problems with my rod. Overall a great rod.

So I was told that some rods like castaway are spine aligned, so guides are put in the best location. Are these rods spine aligned?
1 Answer
Hello Miguel, after checking on these rods they are spined. The rods checked did not twist when pressure was applied.

How would the Dawia LEXA-HD 300HS-P pair up for Calico Bass. For  inshore fishing
1 Answer
The Daiwa Lexa-HD 300HS-P would pair great with these rods for inshore fishing. Specifically for Calico Bass the 6ft 6 M or 7ft 6 M would pair nicely!

What power rod would match with a Curado 201i for inshore reds, trout, and flounder? Mostly jig heads and soft plastics or mud minnows under a cork or on the bottom.
1 Answer
Either the 6ft 9 or 7ft Medium power would be perfect for the species you are targeting and the curado would fit perfectly.
