Medium 7ft is really nice for light inshore finesse applications when chasing fluke

What reel would be better for the 66M? Some freshwater bass mostly shallow water fluke/everything else in jersey inshore waters. Stradic ci4+ or sustain Fg? Would be looking for a 3000 size.
1 Answer
the 3000 or 4000 model stradic ci4 would pair up nicely with the st.croix avid x.

I'm looking at 6'6" MLF or the 7' MLF for walleye, bass , pike. paired with a BG 2500. Leaning towards the 66MLF, any thoughts about which rod

would be suited for this Odyssey? tight lines

1 Answer
Either would honestly be a fine option to pair up with that reel and this will mostly come down to personal preference. The 7' may offer a bit more casting distance, but overall performance and balance should not be much different.

Hello I had a question, which rod model would be the better choice to pair with a Shimano Stradic CI4+ 2500 for bass fishing, the AXS70MLF (4-10lb) or the AXS70MF (6-12lb) ? Thanks
1 Answer
The medium light would be best for lightweight finesse lures like dropshots, shaky heads, and weightless plastics. The medium would be best for slightly heavier lures like texas rigs, small jigs, crankbaits, senkos, etc.
