Are these reels only for offshore or can they be used for piers as well
1 Answer
The reel is mainly used as a trolling setup but if you're going for shark from pier or the surf then it can be used.

How does Valiant 1000 compare to Talica 25II? Which one is better?  I use it for chunking in GOM for Yellowfin Tuna.
1 Answer
Both are equally fantastic reels but if your looking for a larger reel with more line capacity then the Valiant 1000 is the reel of choice.
