Does not include rod belt or drop straps
The AFTCO Maxforce Harness features a super-comfort molded, closed-cell EVA foam padding, with a tough, waterproof lycra polyester cover. The harness liner is made from synthetic terry cloth, which not only wicks moisture, but has enough tooth to keep the harness from slipping around and chafing. Attached to the inside liner is a name and ID tag. The AFTCO Maxforce Harness includes both stainless cross lock snaps and quick release hooks for securing harness to reel lugs. The self-adjusting reel attachment straps prevent the harness from riding up, and provide the best pulling angle for maximum leverage. Stainless D-rings for drop straps are double-sewn and cross-stitched into the harness, and a molded rubber safety/grab handle is also double-stainless riveted and box-stitched into the back of the belt. All of the ultra heavy duty nylon web straps feature top quality, corrosion proof, ôquick-releaseö nylon buckles or adjusters. Included is a mesh bag with hanging grommets for easy rinsing and storage of the Maxforce harness.

What a difference
April 29, 2020
I will never try to fight a 200lbs YFT without this harness. I used it with the Clarion fishing belt and worked really well. If you are a first time user of this harness I recommend to spend few minutes watching the tutorial videos at TD website from Greg Stotesbury from AFTCO explaining how to use this harness, what part of your body will fight the fish, etc.
ProsWell well made. Great quality and the features that this harness carries are thought and design by season anglers. If you go on a trip it is easy to pack. Good price for what are you getting.

Great Harness
September 29, 2018
Love this harness. So comfortable, feels like you are one with the rod and reel when strapped up!
ProsVery comfortable
ConsThe strap doesn?t have a buckle so I had to tie a big knot in it and then wrap it around to make it fit. I am size 34 waist and I believe you have to be 40+ waist to use it without rigging it like I did

Not a big fish harness
January 18, 2018
As others have pointed out, the AFCO harness is comfortable and easy to adjust while on a fish, here's the bad news. When on a big fish with heavy drag (35 or more pounds) the adjustment buckle will cut thru the strap that connects to the reel lug. The first time this happened AFCO sent me a new harness which also broke on my next trip while on a tuna that weighed 220lbs. I was using about 35lbs. of drag at the time. The strap material they use is to light for big fish and they use the wrong type of buckle.
If your fishing for fish up to 100 lbs. it would probably be fine as well as bill fish if your not using heavy drag. And by the way their new model has no adjustment in the strap. so take it out of the package and try it on before you by.
