Owned and distributed by the same company that produces Tsunami rods
November 22, 2018
The rods this company produces are amazing. I live right down the road from them funny enough, but more importantly is the quality that their poles give you versus the price you pay for them. My stand up 80-100 conventional is so sensitive that you can not only feel every lump and bump on the bottom, and every strike, but also tough as nails on big fish. I have caught dorado,Small tuna, brown sharks, blue sharks, and even small threshers on this brand of rods with zero problems

Flawed Rod Tips

I bought two of these rods and both had problems with the top eye; one was missing the inside sleeve and the other's sleeve was cracked ( which cut my line one the first cast and I lost a $15 lure).

Bought two of these rods. Can't beat these rods for the price. One rod had a broken ceramic insert when it arrived and had it fixed.
Caught a 40 pound tarpon and big jack crevalle first time using them. Could not be happier.

Awesome rods

I purchased two additional rods to complete my heavy spinning combos for blue water fishing (kings, dolphin, cobia, etc). These rods are very reasonably priced and are extremely reliable for lots of action.
Prosreasonably priced, perfect size and always reliable.

I have been using this brand rods for several years. For the price, you can't get a better rod. Tackle Direct always has the model I need when I need it.

No Back Bone
September 1, 2014
I bought a Ande Tournament Saltwater rod and went fishing the next day. I hooked into something pretty large (I was catching black drum in the 30 - 40 lb class). I don't know what it was but I do know it was big). I had set the drag and i needed a little more drag to turn the fish. When I tightened up on the drag, the rod snapped and then my 40 pound braid snapped. Bottom line, I lost a big fish and threw $50 out the window doing it. I have since read other reviews on line and the Ande rods are very prone to break if you snag a big fish. The rod looked great. However, this is a case of you get what you pay for.
ProsPrice
ConsWill not sstand up to a big fish

Great Rod
April 26, 2014
These are great rods that have the right balance sensitivity yet they have the strength for when a shark or jack hit your line instead of a grouper or snapper.
ProsGrip and rounder but that still fits a slotted rod holder nicely.
