Split prone along vertical grain
September 17, 2019
For some reason it had a split vertically that was spreading very readily and that was graphite, should not have defective carbon fiber like that
ProsI miss this for because it was featherweight and balanced well...nice color of graphjte

Like McDonald’s - I’m loving it!!
August 16, 2019
This has to be my most favorite fishing rod ever! Itā€™s strong, and can fight some big fish.. yet it can also be sensitive and soft enough to feel the little bites. Itā€™s lightweight and comfortable to hold and go to battle with. Casting? EXCELLENT!!! I cast far with this rod.. 80% of the time Iā€™m casting 1 3/4oz - 3oz coin sinkers, for when Iā€™m fishing for perch/ smelt/white croaker/halibut/stripers etc. I cast up to 4oz pyramid sinkers for leopard sharks and rays. Doesnā€™t matter what rig - whether I use hi-lo rigs, Carolina rigs or fish finder rigs. I also cast lures with this rod.. this is my go to rod, I canā€™t say enough about it! Best of all the price!!! I have the 9ā€™ and Iā€™d recommend it to anyone!

Owned and distributed by the same company that produces Tsunami rods
November 22, 2018
The rods this company produces are amazing. I live right down the road from them funny enough, but more importantly is the quality that their poles give you versus the price you pay for them. My stand up 80-100 conventional is so sensitive that you can not only feel every lump and bump on the bottom, and every strike, but also tough as nails on big fish. I have caught dorado,Small tuna, brown sharks, blue sharks, and even small threshers on this brand of rods with zero problems

Bang for buck
October 17, 2018
I've had several of these. I mostly use them on party boats and jettys, but I get to the 1st breaker with 4oz when on the surf with bait.

Rod has decent action. I seem to cast this rod pretty well too.

They have survived numerous snagged rigs on rock and large fish.

I'd pick these over ugly sticks any day.

These are budget rods made by tsunami.

Great Rod
August 19, 2018
This rod is great! Used it in the Outer Banks fishing in the surf and caught several puppy drum and pompano. The rod casted very well and was very sensitive.
ConsShipping was delayed a few days but the rod came just before I went on my trip so no big deal.

for the money you can't beat this rod!! The rod is made by Tsunami!! Enough said.. I've been Surf fishing on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for over 40 years and i've had several Tsunami 10 to 12feet. I still have them all; that said i know they hold up!!
ConsDon't know of anything to be called a "con"!! on these rods; My original Tsunami is a 10ft rod that's 10 or 12 years old and it's just as good as new as when I bought it..

I bought these to match the 12' surf rods I was purchasing, well, just because they looked nice with the 12 footers and they were remarkably low cost. These rods are wonderful. They replaced my catfish rods of choice. They look sharp and are built very well. I'll be buying more of them for sure.
ProsLight, strong, and really nice looking.
ConsNone so far

I have 2 ATS1100ā€™s. Both broke below the second from the tip guide. It is most likely due to needing to throw 8oz of weight to hold bottom on some days. I love these rods and both have landed numerous 30# class Stripers during their life. Is it possible to order only the top portion of the 2-piece rod? Iā€™d like to purchase 2 of them.

Please let me know asap, stripper season is just around the corner!!

Thank you,

Hello Matt, you would need to contact Bimini Bay outfitters atĀ Ā 800.688.3481Ā to order the top section of the rod if they have it available.Ā

I have a few of these rods that were purchased at TD and happened to break the top portions of the 2 piece rods on two of them. Is there any way I can order just them? and maybe get me a few extra haha.
1 Answer
We can replace the tips but it depends how far down the rod tip it is broken.
