The Mackerel Tree Rig can be pulled by itself across the surface, or paired with a planer or trolling weight if you wish to troll at depth. Simply tie your main line or leader to the barrel swivel, and attach your spoon or other desired trolling lure to the coastlock snap on the other end and you're ready to troll.
