Sporting proprietary Daiwa technologies previously seen on reels well above its price point, the Daiwa Procyon MQ LT Spinning Reel is a highly impressive showing in its class of spinning reels. Built with a single-piece Monocoque Zaion-V body, the Procyon MQ LT is exceptionally light and highly rigid. Daiwa's Monocoque Body increases overall strength, improves water resistance with the absence of screws, and significantly reduces overall weight. Perhaps best of all, the MQ frame design provides better spatial efficiency and allows for a larger gear to fit inside of the reel, adding power and longevity to the gear set. The frame is built from a new material called Zaion-V; a more easily machined compound than Daiwa's standard Zaion. Very similar in function to Zaion, Zaion-V is extremely durable, lightweight, corrosion resistant, and can be implemented into a wider range of reels. To enhance the winding operation and responsiveness, Daiwa's Air Drive Rotor sheds unnecessary weight without sacrificing in much needed rigidity under high drag pressures. The rotor will never give or flex during the fight, ensuring the post efficient power transmission. This advanced lightened rotor design reduces the inertia required to spin around the reel, making it easier to crank the handle and creates a more responsive winding experience. Other familiar Daiwa features such as the tubular Air Bail, Advanced Tournament Drag, and dependable DIGIGEAR technology combine to help this latest generation of Procyon stand out from other reels in its price bracket. With sizes ranging from 1000 to 4000, the Procyon MQ LT is poised to handle anything from freshwater fishing for bass or walleye to inshore fishing for bigl game fish along any coast.

  • Monocoque (MQ) Zaion-V Body
  • Air Drive Rotor
