The Daiwa SALTIST3500 Saltist Spinning Reel is a JDM version of the all new for 2016 line of Saltist reels. The 3500 is JDM size that is not normally available in the USA market, and it is basically identical to the 4000 size Saltist with a spool fitting slightly less line. Ideal for heavy duty inshore fishing applications and light offshore duty, this spinning reel puts out nearly 18lbs of max drag all in a light package weighing in at 14.8oz. The spool is braid ready, featuring a rubber o ring around the arbor of the spool, which eliminates the necessity of monofilament backing or tape being used to account for lack of stretch in today?s braided lines. The all aluminum body and body cover, along with Digigear gearing provided rigidity and confidence when targeting bruising saltwater species like snook, striped bass, grouper, and more! Couple all of this with Magseal technology, and you have a durable reel that will perform under the harshest conditions for an extended period of time.
