Bringing the renowned design of the Steez platform into a new size range, the Daiwa Steez CT SV Baitcasting Reels set a new standard for top tier finesse baitcasting performance. These compact 70-size reels utilize a magnesium frame and side-plate to provide a compact, lightweight frame along with uncompromising strength and rigidity. Weighing in at a staggeringly light 5.3oz, the Steez CT SV is among the lightest baitcasters on the market, allowing for all day casting and pitching with reduced angler fatigue. Featuring a slew of proprietary Daiwa technologies like SV Concept and the T-Wing Level Wind System, the Steez CT SV is equipped to excel at a variety of techniques, and is particularly effective at casting extremely light baits on light line.

Daiwa’s SV Concept includes the use of a G1 Duralumin spool equipped with a special induct rotor to increase casting distance a minimize backlashes. G1 Duralumin is stronger than both aircraft grade aluminum and magnesium, allowing less material to be used in the spools construction, thus making them lighter and more efficient casters. A Specially developed material is applied to the spools induct rotor, which is exposed out from the spool when rotating at high speed. As the spool slows, the induct rotor moves back towards the magnetic field which brakes the spool according to the weights of different types of lures. Thanks to the revolutionary Zero Adjuster portion of SV Concept, it is no longer necessary to adjust the mechanical spool tension knob when casting. The ideal Zero Adjuster setting is when the spool shaft is held without side to side spool play. Appropriate brake power adjustment is now fully manageable with only the use of the Magnetic dial.

The Steez CT SV is ergonomically shaped for easy palming and features an extremely low profile that fits well in any angler’s hand. Those looking to deploy finesse presentations on light tackle no longer need to limit themselves to spinning gear thanks to this finesse baitcaster sitting at the top of its class.

I throw a lot of weightless Keitech swim baits from the bank. This reel does this like no other bait casting reel does.

Yes, the Daiwa Steez is saltwater ready and should knock it out of the park when it comes to flats fishing.
