I use these thimbles for rigging knife jigs. When used with chaffing sleeves it provides great movement for swivels and solid rings, as well as protection for your leaders
ProsGreat corrosion resistance. Protects leaders material from excessive wear

Sea Striker Thimble Review

The strength and quality of the stainless steel are an excellent value. I've put these thimbles to the test with heavy fish and leadering and never had an issue.

These are more than adequate. They do have sharp edges but they are easily filed down as needed. I actually did not file any of them. They work well but are not perfect in my opinion.

I have 600 lb American Fishing wire 49 strand, do the 2.8 max diameter thimbles work for this? The crimps required for this wire are 2.9 size requirements. I also need thimbles for the same product but in 400lb
1 Answer
Being that the diameter of the wire you have is 1.83 mm, I would suggest using the small size that will accommodate 2.0 mm diameter lines. I would suggest this size for the 400lb 49 strand wire as well.

I have some nylon coated Berkley 120# wire which is .042 diameter will the small K size work with diameter?
1 Answer
The .042 is in inches i am assuming. When putting them into MM it would be 1.066 and the K size thimbles would fit.
