Nice Rod for the $$$
I have the 9ft model paired with a penn spinfisher VI 4500bls and 20lb braid. The rod fishes well. It casts very well with salt pro's, bombers, redfins, bucktails to 1.5 oz and soft plastics. Pushed the rod to it's limits with a pencil popper that weighed about 2.5 oz but it handles well with tins and diamond jigs to 3.oz. So far I have had a lot of fun with schoolie stripedbass from 18" - 26" on soft plastics and bucktails during a sandeel run off FINS. My only issue and criticism is the ferret always seems a little loose and I find myself constantly checking it to make sure that it is on well and not twisting too much when I cast. The rod could use 1 or 2 more guides in my opinion but the 4 guide - 1 tip is still a good set up, but with larger fish I do worry that there could be a flat spot in the bend which could become an issue. Still a great rod I'd say 4.5 stars but they won't let you give the extra half star.
ProsGreat price. Casts well. Fishes well.
ConsPossible flat spot in the guide layout and a the ferret connection could be more secure. Still a very good rod for the price.

Ok rod, spend a little extra for better.
I own 2 of these and in my opinion they struggle to keep up with other rods priced roughly the same.

Dont buy Lamiglas..won't stand behind their product in case of failure
Bought surf rod..was good to me and good until it snapped in touch with Lamiglas and getting run around:" oh this one was an import rod, hence no warranty after 1 year"..well first of all did not state that anywhere nor did the price reflect a throw away a proper product that your brand/reputation can stand behind or not..don't come up with excuses when they fail but help your customer..and yes the communications with service department were painful..seems they never got my point(or did not want to and played dumb..quite successfully may i say)..never again Lamiglas..
Merchant Response:They post a 1 year warranty right on the rod when you buy it?
ProsGood rod while it lasted
ConsHorrible if/when it goes wrong

Great rod but snaps very quick
First of all they sent me a rod that have cracks already and returned to exchange it for a new one. After having this rod for three weeks and three trips of fishing and catching a few, the rod finally snaps on the tip of the backbone while casting. I dont even know if its a defect or the way they handle the rod at tackledirect. Ive been using lamiglas for a long time now and i had a surf rod that lasted for 4 years til it snapped that's why i decided to buy a new surf rod. But this is what i got. Money wasted!

Inlet Rod
This is the rod I take as a backup when I am bucktailing inlets. Good amount of power and good features. I highly recommend it to anyone that needs a good rod at a reasonable price.

American made?
So, i was reliving a near loss of a keeper with this Lami insane 10'ft.
like the other fella said, snapped right at the same point.
my buddy is dogging me saying that the rod wasn't made in the normal Lami factory.

any details on that??
Proslight, responsive, you can feel a fish fart from 20ft away i love it, but i think it's odd the other guy had the same snap, in the same location. then i hear about the fraudulent claims for the where abouts

Snapped at first use
Bought a LIS 10 MHS in August 2015, The rod snapped right below the seccond guard when I reeled in a 3lb.Tautog. I sent the rod back on August 20 ,2015 to Lamiglas with a check to cover the return shipping and handling. Today is October 2 and I am still waiting for a reply from Lamiglas. However, my check was cashed last month.
Beside inferior product I am very disappointed with their customer services.
ProsBeautiful rod (appearance)
ConsDid not hold up what it claimed

This is so far the strongest rod i ever used! Mainly used for Big Jack's, Rosterfish and Dorado from the surf, and no problem. Lamiglas #1 for me!

great rod just not as advertised
The LIS10MS is advertised 2-4 ozs and 14-30# line. It is delivered as 1-3 ozs and 15-25# line. Great rod, excellent delivery time, just not what I wanted. I was looking for something a little heavier than my current rods. For that reason I'll give it a 2.

I'll probably keep it and pass on to one of my boys as returning things is a pita, but when I save enough to buy another xmas present for myself I will go elsewhere.
ProsBeautiful rod, excellent delivery time, well packaged
Consrated wrong on website disappointed to not get what I wanted

I have the lis10mhc and I was wondering what is a good casting reel to get best performance for the rod
1 Answers
These would be spinning rods that would pair well with a surf spinning reel like the Shimano Ultegra xtd. If you were looking for a surf casting reel I would suggest the Avet SX G2 5.3 MC but not with this rod

Hi, Please advise me about the reel seat and guides. Are they Fuji? Or an alternative? Can I use this rod (L=10') for using bait (live shrimps, fish fillets, etc) in the surf? Awaiting your advice and recommendation. Vic
1 Answers
Hello Vic. These rods use WeBo reel seats and fuji guides. It would be a great rod for the application you would be using it for. Please feel free to contact us if you have any more questions!

how stiff is rod at the tip. will a 5oz and bunker chunk bend the hell out of it or not? I know its rated too 8 but don't want a lose backbone...thanks
1 Answers
These are moderate action/fast tip rods. They will handle 5oz weight and bait. The action means it will bend further down the blank, but you will have plenty of backbone to fight the fish.
