Best Bang For The $$$$

Excellent fly reel. I've fished Orvis, Penn, Van Staal, among others and this reel for the money is as good or better than those priced 3 - 4X the price. The drag system is amazing stopping large stripers and false albacore with ease. I highly recommend this product.

Stopped a 38 inch striper in its tracks

This reel handled a 38 inch striped bass from the beach in rough surf like nothing else. I stopped that fish with one turn of the drag knob.

what is the drag size or strength of the 7/8 versus the 8/9 and 9/10? I believe a the drag increases in size or strength every other model, and I would like the lightest reel with the most drag for my application. Thank you

The manufacture does not list the drag strength of the Redington Behemoth Fly Reels so it would be hard to find a good balance of of size and strength. I would take a look at the Van Staal fly reels
