The Savage Grip Trebles substitute a traditional hook eye for a looped section of 150lb braided line to allow the hook a range of motion 4 times greater than the standard split ring to hook system. Standard treble hooks can only make a single rotation before binding with the split ring and hook hanger and allowing the fish to leverage the weight of the lure to easily dislodge the hook, especially on large swimbaits. The Savage Grip Treble system allows for 4 complete rotations of the hook to eliminate any binding, nullifying the leverage that the fish could use to throw the hook with quick changes in direction during erratic fights.
