Shimano Curado K Series Baitcasting Reels are built tough enough for tournaments. A must for any generation of angler.

  • MicroModule gearing
  • SVS infinity: Centrifugal braking system with brake weights that use inner friction against the raceway during the cast to control spool speed, giving you easy-to-manage, consistent spool control and brake force
  • Compact body design: More compact and ergonomic
  • Longer handle

Nice
Just the initial inspection as I pre ordered early. 201 HGK 7.4. Beautiful looking reel. Small. Light. Looks matte black indoors. V groove spool. I have several Shimano reels so I trust it will cast and fish well. Its smaller and lighter than my older 201 reels though the brass gearing on this reel is a great improvement. I use these reels for fresh and saltwater/surf fishing. The salt wears the main aluminum gear on my old 201 DC reel (though it still works) so I jumped on this Curado K with it's brass micromodule gear. Hopefully larger versions are coming as another size up may be better in the surf. Nonetheless, nice looking reel with a nice main gear and a star drag.

Changing the game.
These reels are absolutely amazing. Smooth as silk on 65lb braid. Can't wait for the different gear ratios to come out.
