A lot of rod for the money
January 22, 2020
Great rod that feels like it has the power of a one-piece rod despite being a two-piece. The rod doesn't load extremely easily, but you get used to it quickly. Depending on the retrieve, rod works well with the walking baits (surface and sub), pencil poppers, spoons, poppers, and stickbaits that I've tried on it. Rod doesn't have as much sensitivity as I'd want for dragging the bottom with bucktails but can do that job too. Overall a fantastic rod at this price point.
Pros2-pieces sturdy looks great
Consrod can be hard to load

I want another!
May 26, 2019
Love thus rod for the beach casting! I've teamed it up with several different reels and it works great with everything from a 5500 to a 7000 pro rocket.
It's the medium heavy and it handles any fish I've had on so far. I'm looking forward to getting another.
It's a very comfortable rod to fish with in the surf.
ProsWell built, solid rod. Confortable.

Great Rod
April 29, 2019
I can empty half the spool of a Spinfisher V 5500 with this rod and a 3 oz lead. I can cast easily 100 yards without even heaving it and the rod fits well in the hand. Rod absorbs bites well and loads well. Rarely do you find a rod that can cast a 4oz lead and still double over on a 7 inch gaftop.
ProsFairly Light Sensitive Casts extremely well
ConsHandle can be uncomfortable at times

Cheaper shimano surf rod teralejo
April 6, 2019
I finally got to test it out. I've been casting 5 oz. With bait but the rod feels like a heavy rather than medium heavy. I like my rods with a little bit softer tip but so far so good. Detecting bites were a little harder due to it being a black rod and too stiff but I like it so far. Paired with shimano baitrunner 8000d. Havent caught anything on it yet. If shimano can come out with brighter colors or all white. That would be great.
ConsFelt too stiff for medium heavy.

Es difícil decir en una imagen, pero asegúrese de que todo esté apretado y si todavía se ve mal. Entonces llámenos y lo reemplazaremos. ¡no lo uses para que podamos intercambiarlo!

Is the speedmaster basically a lower priced version of the Tiralejo? If so what is the biggest difference?
1 Answer
The speedmaster rods are made to be paired with long cast shimano reels with the way the guides are setup on the blank, that's the biggest difference.

Need opinions/reviews. For 11" rod, which is the best rod of the 3 brands. Shimano speed master surf, Lamiglas insane surf, Tsunami airwave series surf with regards to performance?

Which is the lightest rod? Best for casting around 4-5 oz lure weights? Thank you in advance.

1 Answer
For either 3 of these rods to be considered the "best" is up for debate. In my personal opinion the speedmaster Is the most balanced out of the three.

1 Answer
Absolutely. Depending on what 6500 size reel you have (different manufacturers have different sizes), and what you are targeting and how much distance you need any Speedmaster between 10 - 12 ft would be good.
