Great jigging combo. Used it to fish some butterfly jigs for snapper and was awesome. Super sensitive rod could feel every bit. Reel is my second avet it is a very smooth operating reel. Lots of drag and like how it has more then free, bait,strike, and full settings that the Gen 1 has.

- Eyes are a little small. Was little hard to get the line out with my Bimini twist to the Albright knot for my shock leader.

Wow. Well balanced and a workhorse

I have fished several combos and this may be the best. The pole is extremely versatile and the reel is a wench. The fish don’t stand a chance. I fished with 6 ounces and the feel was truly exceptional.

THIS A GREAT BALANCED COMBO ! TOOK IT OUT BOTTOM FISHING AND HAD A GREAT DAY. THE SHIMANO TORIUM 16 PG VERY SMOOTH AND WITH THE 4.6 1 RATIO GIVES A GOOD HOOK SET WHEN PAIRED WITH THE SILVER TACKLEDIRECT ROD.

What is the line rating for the rod? (Mono)

There isn't a mono rating for this rod but I wouldn't recommend going past 40 or 50lb mono otherwise you may run into some performance issues. It will be best to use braid line and then give yourself a mono leader.

Torium PG models with the power handle are only available in right hand, but we can surely swap you for a regular Torium with the egg hangle in left handle of the same size. When ordering just leave a note in the comments box during checkout and we will swap for a left handed model. Or you can place the order over the phone.
