The base of each leg is then pierced with the hook points allowing for a secure hold that leaves the legs unhindered to kick freely. These hooks feature an extra long shank to help in hooking short biting bass and are tough enough to withstand pulling big fish out of heavy cover on heavy braided lines without bending out.
