The Sunline Super FC Sniper Fluorocarbon fishing line is the number one fluorocarbon line in the Japanese market and gaining popularity in the US. This line is a great choice for all techniques with spinning or casting tackle. This fluorocarbon line featrures high specific gravity for super sensivity even in deep water. The line is soft and supple with triple resin coating for easy handling. This fishing line also provides super abrasion resistance for fishing around the covers. It is made in Japan so you know it's of the highest quality.

  • High abrasion resistance
  • Uniform line diameter
  • 5lb-7lb tests are popular with finesse bass anglers particularly drop shot and shakey head anglers
  • 7lb is best for spinning reels

This line has been doing good so far. Low memory, but it does have the tendency to want to jump off of the spool. (No, I didn't put too much line on my reel)

Sunline is great on spinning teels

I use 7lb Sniper on both of my Shimano CI4 Spinning Reels. I fish drop shot, split shot, wacky worm, weightless plastics, ultra light crankbaits, jerk baits and trick worms all on this line. I like the consistantly diameter of the 7 pound line in clear water the best. Most cast distances are close to average resulting in good sets. But I have made several casts and hook sets on 3-4 lb fish with no problem using this line. I catch a mix of LM, SM, and Spots where I live. Several in the 3-4 lb range are caught during a month of on line tournaments and I have never had a break off where the line failed. I've used a lot of lines in my life and I've finally found what works best for me in Sunline Sniper!

Does this line have low spool momory? Have yet to find a good line with low spool memory for better smoother and longer casts and how much does the line stretch for hook sets?
1 Answer
Sniper is known as an extremely manageable line and it's common to hear of someone getting a year out of a spool of line, especially if you use a line conditioner. That said, all flourocarbon has memory - its the reality of using fluoro. Sniper has fairly low memory when compared to a lot of lines out there.

As for stretch- it does have some stretch, not not nearly that of mono and nothing that I would liken to "rubber band effect" on longer hooksets. Give it a try, it's one of our top-selling lines for good reason.
