Can you tell me why they rate this motor as a 1/2hp? I need at least a transum riptide 55lb of trust = 50amps of draw. The question I have is how much lb thrust dose this 1/2hp motor have ? is it bigger than the riptide 55lb as it is a more exspensive motor. I would buy the EO motor if I new the thrust was big enough. Can you help me with this confusion. Thanks Steve

A single HP is some where between 75 and 110 pounds of thrust. So 1/2 HP is 55lbs of thrust.
