Before being tempered the hooks are forged, which in this context means that the hook wire is a bit compressed. By doing this, the strength of the hook is increased by over 30%!
The Mustad 3551 Treble Hook is Mustad's standard freshwater treble hook. These hooks are great for a wide variety of applications including replacements hooks on spoons, spinners, minnow baits, jerk baits and live and artificial bait rigs.
