Penn has solved this problem by implementing their HT-100 drag material into their opening price point spinning reel. This means that the Pursuit III features the same durable carbon drag found on significantly more expensive reels. This key addition, along with a corrosion resistant graphite body and 5 shielded stainless steel ball bearings, make the Pursuit III the strongest reel in its class.
