Beautiful look, great Action and a very good sensitivity.
I use this rod for saltwater fishing and fishing for pike with downsized muskiebaits, like the Baby Shallow Raider, Slopmaster Spinnerbait or 7“ Suick.

The stradic fl 3000 would pair well with the vis70mm
That is a great rod, I would pair it with the Penn Slammer 4500 or 4500HS, That's depending on what retrieve speed you want based on what your targeting. I would only go to the 5500 if your targeting larger offshore species and need the line capacity. Please let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.
Are there any other better ST CROIX rod recommendations?
For blackfish you usually want a lighter more sensitive tip, for this i would recommend the Avid Inshore M or MH rated rods. Paired with a 3000 or 4000 size spinning reel with a good drag such as Daiwa BG MQ or Shimano Stradic FL
I have not personally used them for Blackfish but the Mojo Jig series ive heard great things about for this fishery
